Republic of China Air Power
Fixed-Wing | Rotary-Wing Aircraft
Taiwanese air power is led by the lightweight American F-16 Fighting Falcon multirole type and this is backed by over 100 of the locally-developed F-CK-1 fighter type (upgraded to a C-model guise). The service still operates aging F-5 Tiger II fighters as well as French M2000 delta-winged fighter-bombers in the M2000-5EI mark. A modest collection of special-mission types are kept on hand and the transport force is equally limited to the tactical level. The rotorcraft force is limited to French and American offerings. The trainer force is notably large and includes solutions for basic, advanced, and combat training.
